Becoming a Poll Worker
Democracy thrives when elections are free, fair, and trusted. That’s what separates America from authoritarian and autocratic governments around the world.
But in recent years, bad actors have worked overtime to undermine confidence in our elections—pushing conspiracy theories, spreading lies about “rigged” elections, and attempting to flood election administration with individuals more interested in chaos than protecting the integrity of the process.
That’s why Country First launched the Election Service Initiative (ESI): to recruit and empower Americans of goodwill to step up, serve, and help protect the administration of our elections.
We cannot afford to cede this ground.

Ready to go further? Use this Letter to the Editor template to raise awareness in your own community about the need to protect the Free and Fair Administration of Elections! Free and fair elections are the foundation of our democracy. But in recent years, conspiracy theories and misinformation have undermined public confidence in the electoral process. Our elections are administered by everyday Americans who work hard to ensure every eligible vote is counted fairly. They deserve support — not political attacks or intimidation. That’s why initiatives like Country First’s Election Service Initiative matter. Americans of goodwill must step up to serve and protect the integrity of our elections. Defending democracy is not partisan — it’s patriotic. |
