Day of Action

As Congress debates the federal budget, which will cut Medicaid funding by $698 billion and increase the deficit by $3.8 trillion, what are Senators doing to stand up to MAGA and defend our economy, our values, and our democracy?


Let’s be clear: eliminating fraud, waste, and abuse is common ground. But cutting services from Americans who rely on them—who qualify under the law—is not fiscal responsibility. It’s policy failure. And it erodes public trust in our institutions, with long-term consequences for our democracy. Posting on social media and making grand statements are great - but they only do so much. When the economy, the debt, Medicaid, SNAP, and so many more essential programs are on the line - we need more than statements we need real action to restore trust and defend our democracy. 

That’s why Country First is holding a Day of Action this Thursday, 6/5/2025, at 1:00 PM ET. We’ll be contacting key Members of Congress to demand a clear answer:
