Pete Hegseth and his short and disastrous tenure as Secretary of Defense is already marked by high-level resignations, reckless disregard for secure communications, and a politicized approach to military leadership. These failures show he’s unqualified and unfit for the job.

The safety of our troops and the strength of our national defense should never be partisan. Yet Hegseth’s leadership is actively jeopardizing both—and with it, the very security of our democracy.
