Institutions like the Federal Reserve, the Department of Justice, and the courts are critical to ensuring that decisions are made based on expertise, facts, and the rule of law—not political whims or partisan agendas. When the Federal Reserve can set monetary policy independently, it helps safeguard economic stability, protects jobs, and shields everyday Americans from the chaos of politically motivated financial decisions.
An independent system builds public trust and ensures that the checks in place to protect the economy and the justice system remain credible, balanced, and fair for all.
Supporting Ukraine’s fight for sovereignty isn’t just about U.S. foreign policy and national security—what we do and what we stand for abroad has a great impact on how we define our democracy at home. When the world stands against authoritarian aggression, we send a clear message that borders, treaties, and human rights cannot be trampled by force.
Backing Ukraine shows that democracies can—and will—stand together to protect freedom, demonstrating to the world that strength and unity can push back against tyranny.
The Constitution’s framework of checks and balances is what prevents any one branch of government from gaining too much power. When the legislative and judicial branches hold the executive accountable, they strengthen our institutions and protect citizens from abuses of authority and corruption by ensuring decisions are made in the best interest of the people—not out of political expediency.
This balance fosters transparency, builds trust in government, and ensures that leaders remain servants of the people, not rulers over them.
Lies and disinformation surrounding the 2020 election eroded public trust in our elections and led to an insurrection in the United States Capitol.
Elections are the foundation of democracy. They ensure that the power to choose leaders rests with the people, and that leaders are accountable to those they serve.
Free and fair elections—free from intimidation, disinformation & lies, unfair barriers or cheating—allow every eligible citizen to have a voice in shaping their communities and country.
Protecting this process strengthens public trust and ensures that transitions of power remain peaceful and legitimate—cornerstones of a functioning democracy.
Dangerous levels of political extremism erode trust, poison dialogue, and paralyze progress. Extremism elevates ideology over truth, encouraging leaders to ignore facts in pursuit of raw power rather than the common good.
When extremists turn neighbors into enemies, they open the door for bad actors—foreign and domestic—to exploit fear, deepen chaos, and weaken our democratic institutions. The more politics becomes a contest of purity tests and absolutism, the less room there is for common sense solutions that help everyday Americans.
Countering extremism means pushing back against lies, pushing back against disinformation and defending truth. By standing against political extremism, we strengthen our institutions, protect individual freedoms, and ensure that democracy reflects the will of the people—not the demands of the loudest or most extreme faction.
Democracy doesn’t defend itself—it depends on us.
Dash for Democracy is about proving that when everyday Americans rise together, we can educate, engage, and make our collective voice impossible to ignore.
