Election reforms include early processing of absentee ballots to prevent delays in counting, as well as mandatory identification for all indefinitely confined voters. Additionally, officials are prohibited from altering ballots, and voters can now receive text notifications for absentee ballot requests and returns. To ensure election integrity, stringent measures are in place to exclude non-citizen voting. Enhanced safeguards have also been implemented for ballots cast by seniors and residents of assisted living facilities, providing added protection for these vulnerable voters.
